On April 4, 2009, our very own Chef Kurt was awarded a very prestigious honor from the Academie de Brillat Savarin in recognition for his tireless efforts to promote culinary excellence, local food, Slow Food, and teaching the next generation of chefs. Only three working chefs have ever received this honor in America. Julia Child, Paul Prudhomme, and Kurt Fleischfresser!
Chef Kurt has twice been invited to the world-renown James Beard House in New York City as part of the Great Regional Chefs Program.
Chef Kurt is a two time finalist in the prestigious American Culinary Gold Cup Competition the Bocuse d'Or.
In 2003, Chef Kurt won Oklahoma’s “The Taste of Elegance” award sponsored by the Pork Producers.
Chef Kurt has also been selected for The Celebrated Chef program sponsored by the National Pork Board.
