- On April 4, 2009, our very own Chef Kurt was awarded a very prestigious honor from the Academie de Brillat Savarin in recognition for his tireless efforts to promote culinary excellence, local food, Slow Food, and teaching the next generation of chefs. Only three working chefs have ever received this honor in America. Julia Child, Paul Prudhomme, and Kurt Fleischfresser!
